Bio

Mohammed Al-Najjar, a Jordanian journalist, embarked on his career journey in 1999. Initially, he served as a part-time correspondent for Al Jazeera Net, alongside fulfilling roles as a researcher and producer for the Ajazeera network and the program "60 Minutes" on CBS and Al-Hiwar channel. Transitioning to a full-time role with Al Jazeera in 2010, Al-Najjar's career has been marked by significant coverage, including the Lebanon war in 2006, two instances of conflict in Syria in 2012 and 2013, and the inaugural elections in Egypt following the revolution in 2011. Al-Najjar is also recognized as a certified trainer in digital journalism, specializing in open-source content verification, story development, journalistic editing for new media, and field reporting for online journalism.

Experience

- From September 3, 2023, serving as a member of the editorial support team for the Director of the Digital Sector. - From September 2018 to September 2023, held the position of Head of Planning and Correspondents Department, overseeing the Palestine desk and managing Hot Issues at Al Jazeera Net. - From February 2015 to May 2017, served as the Head of the Social Media Department at Al Jazeera Channel. - Since 2016, has been a certified trainer at the Al Jazeera Media Institute. - From March 2010 to December 2014, worked as a full-time correspondent for Al Jazeera Net and as an employee of the Al Jazeera Network. - From 2005 to 2010, served as a researcher and producer for numerous programs and worked as a part-time correspondent for Al Jazeera Net. - Became a member of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate in 2002. - From 1999 to 2005, held the position of Editor covering parliamentary affairs and state security issues at the Jordanian newspaper Al-Sabeel.
