Aljazeera Ambassadors Courses in Turkey and Jordan

Within the activities of Aljazeera Ambassadors Initiative, Aljazeera Media Institute held a number of training courses in Istanbul and Jordan during last February for around 51 trainees.

In the Jordanian capital, Amman Ibrahim Saber Al-Deek, a journalist with Aljazeera Media Network trained 17 journalists from Palestine on “Press coverage in conflict zones” where he taught trainees on the nature of field television journalism, stages of preparing field reports, concept of visual language and its relation to the text and other important elements.

 In the same context, Aljazeera Ambassadors initiative carried out other two courses in Istanbul, namely “Management of Social Media Accounts” where Makram Kalash trained 12 trainees and “data journalism” course, where Dr. Arwa Al-Kaali trained 12 trainees. In data journalism course, Al-Kaali was keen to train participants on how to present information in an exciting and interactive visual way, how to access data, understanding editorial benefits of data, in addition to learning how to search accurate information, importance of database, data formation tools and how to build database.
