The Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center (AJTC) in collaboration with the United Nations (UN) concluded a training program designed for Palestinian journalists on Thursday, December 8. The nine participating journalists work in areas of digital media and broadcast journalism.
UN Media Official Yazan Al-Sughairi commented on the partnership with the AJTC saying: “We value the partnership with the Al Jazeera Training Center, especially during the past two courses on digital media and TV journalism.”
Dr. Yahya Al-Agha, Palestinian Cultural Attaché, praised the role of the Training Center and its contribution to providing Palestinian trainees with the skills they need to apply in the field.
A number of the students’ projects, including TV news reports and short films, were screened during the graduation ceremony.
The AJTC training session between November 27 and December 8 is part of a special program designed by the UN to train Palestinian media professionals. A number of Al Jazeera journalists and reporters carried out the training in collaboration with the UN, which was the final one of the year.
