TV presenter Wassila Oulmi conducted “News Presentation” course in Algeria which was held under the existing partnership between Al Jazeera Media Training Centre and Media Dz Centre.
7 participants who are mainly interested in developing their skills of TV presentation especially news presentation, took part in the course. In this context, the course’s trainer Wassila noted: "Most of the participants are not media graduates. Hence, I was keen to acquaint them step by step with the meaning of TV news presentation, its terminology and the most important techniques, in addition to how a TV presenter deals with the Autocue device, then they finish up by presenting news bulletins, including news outlines and news report, and I am happy of the level that the participants have reached ".
The participants highly praised the 5-day course and expressed their appreciation for its benefits and advantages.
Noor Al Huda bin Renji noted that: "Thanks to the course, we now know media professional Wassila in person and as a great media professional at the same time”. Participant Omar Abbar added that: "I have now realized the correct posture of the presenter and how to ask questions properly, I have really benefited and learned a lot from the trainer."
It is noteworthy that the AJTC is going to organize a course in “TV reporter skills” in Jordan in cooperation with its partner the “Jordan Media Institute”. The course will be conducted by colleague Abdulkadir Deimish from August 28 until September 1.
